EcoVision Welcomes Colm Garvey

EcoVision is thrilled to announce the addition of Colm Garvey to their team. Colm previously created and ran the Clare Community Energy Agency. His expertise is expected to significantly bolster EcoVision’s mission of promoting energy efficiency and sustainability.

During his tenure at Clare Community Energy Agency, Colm was instrumental in developing strategic Energy Master Plans that identify the actions that allow communities to reduce their energy usage, cost and emissions. He also created the Solar Meitheal concept of organising groups of homeowners to get Solar PV installed on their homes with over 300 homes in Clare, Limerick and Galway completed. With Colm on board, the company aims to enhance its support for SEAI-registered Sustainable Energy Communities (SECs), helping them to turn their sustainability goals into tangible results.

Colm expressed his enthusiasm about joining EcoVision, stating, “I am excited to be part of a team that actually gets energy upgrades done. This fills a gap that existed between the Energy Master Plans that communities have and the actual execution of those plans. EcoVision now can offer an end-to-end solution for energy upgrades for communities.”

EcoVision’s General Manager, Máirtín Ó Mealóid, has also shared his excitement about the new addition, highlighting the strategic importance of integrating Colm’s expertise into their ongoing projects. “Colm’s background and passion for sustainable energy align perfectly with our vision. We are confident that his contributions will accelerate our efforts to support communities in becoming more energy-efficient and sustainable.”

As the growing team embarks on this collaborative journey, communities can look forward to more robust support in their sustainability initiatives. This partnership promises to bring innovative energy solutions to the forefront, enabling SECs to achieve their ambitions and set a benchmark for energy efficiency and sustainability across the region.
