Our Impact

Our Social & Environmental Mission

We work to reduce carbon emissions and energy poverty through home and community energy upgrades. Our projects are delivered through national initiatives such as the SEAI Community Energy Grant and the Just Transition Fund, creating real and lasting benefits.

Reinvesting For Impact

As a not-for-profit organisation, all surpluses are reinvested back into the community to expand services, support community funds, and drive innovation for a greener energy future.

Supporting Local Communities

Our Community Fund helps our member communities deliver energy and environmental projects in their own local areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Nationwide, over 1,000 community groups are registered with the SEAI’s Sustainable Energy Communities (SEC) programme. These local initiatives are at the heart of Ireland’s clean energy transition, bringing people together to ensure the shift is community-led and delivers real benefits locally, while helping households reduce costs. SECs also strengthen resilience in the face of rising prices and potential supply disruptions.

EcoVision exists to support and strengthen it’s members. Member communities benefit from over a decade of trusted expertise, play a key role in our governance, and can access community energy upgrades supported by SEAI funding, including grants covering up to 50% of costs for measures such as insulation, heating improvements, lighting upgrades and solar PV.

To become an EcoVision member, a group must be volunteer-led and democratically governed. Members propose projects that support a community-led energy transition that EcoVision then delivers. This can include: retrofit works (domestic, community, or commercial) Energy schemes (generation or electric vehicles) or Training and innovation (behavioural change or future energy-saving initiatives).

The process to become an EcoVision energy community member, and be designated as a community partner, can be done simply by filling in the form below.
