EU Just Transition Fund (EUJTF)

The EU Just Transition Fund (JTF) is a European Union initiative aimed at supporting regions and communities that face economic and social challenges in the shift to a climate-neutral economy. In Ireland, the fund focuses on the Midlands region, which has been particularly affected by the decline of peat production and associated industries. Its goal is to generate new economic opportunities and help diversify local economies, easing the impact of this transition, ensuring that no one is left behind. 

The Community Retrofit Coordination project promotes energy sustainability across the Thurles and Carrick-on-Suir Municipal Districts, with EcoVision playing a key role in supporting communities, households, and businesses to lower their carbon footprint.
